5 "Outside the Box" Ways to Boost Your Health

The human body is a miracle. It always has been. Science no longer denies the mind, body, spirit connection with regard to our health. So, if in the midst of all this quarantine, curve flattening, Covid-19, Corona virus “stuff,” you’d like some alternative, holistic, spiritual ways to support your health and well being, here are four of my favorites:



We all know the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine.” It’s true! Joy is an emotion that actually boosts the immune system. Why is this? Because the better we feel, the more aligned we are with Spirit. Esther and Jerry Hicks created an emotional guidance scale in their work with the law of attraction. Joy is the highest emotion on the scale. Sometimes it takes conscious effort to raise your vibration to the level of joy, but it is worth it for our own harmony and wellbeing. Seek out and find the things that make you laugh and bring you joy! My favorites include: listening to stand up comedy, watching old sitcoms, and playing with my silly jack russell. We know that holding on to resentment, anger, and unresolved conflict can negatively affect our physical health. That’s why it’s so important to make a conscious decision to let go of negative feelings before they affect our heart rate, blood pressure, and immune response. Forgiveness is an active process that can involve so many things, like talking, journaling, praying, reflecting, releasing, etc. Whom do you need to forgive? People have long used meditation as part of their spiritual practice to improve and maintain health and wellness. Some meditations are recorded at certain hz frequencies, and those frequencies have been shown to correlate to various body systems, chakras, energy types, and emotions. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping is a powerful combination of Ancient Chinese Acupressure and Modern Psychology. A person taps on certain points on their face, head, and chest while saying a script out loud or mentally, working through whatever problem, health condition, or anxiety that is troubling them. Results are astounding. In the beginning, it feels strange, but it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. The shift in peace, healing, and emotional health is profound. Seeking out ways to serve others shifts our focus away from our own fears and problems to an attitude of compassion, giving, and love. Basic law of attraction tells us that what we focus on grows. Why not focus on love and being a helper during these stressful times? To whom can you reach out and offer assistance? Is there someone you know who needs some attention? If you are strictly quarantined, you can still talk to and pray for others. It counts! Love your neighbor as yourself. There are so many facets to our individual health and wellness. Now is the time for us all to think outside the box and explore holistic, alternative, spiritual practices that could possibly improve our health, wholeness, and harmony.
